100 Sill soldiers depart for IraqThe Associated Press

LAWTON, Okla. — More than 100 Iraq-bound soldiers from units in several states have been honored at a departure ceremony at Fort Sill.
The Fort Lewis, Wash.-based Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 214th General Support Aviation Battalion, received a send-off Friday. Fort Sill officials say the unit also is composed of soldiers from Eustis, Va.; Olathe, Kan.; and Fort Carson, Colo.
Its mission will be to provide direct support heavy lift operations under the 26th Marine Aviation Group. It will provide aerial resupply and troop movements while operating under a Marine task force in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
The company includes supply personnel, NCOs, crew chiefs, flight engineers, mechanics and clerks who have received pre-mobilization training at Fort Sill.
