Ex-Army depot worker gets probation

TEXARKANA, Texas — A former supervisor at the Red River Army Depot must serve three years of probation for theft of government property.

A federal judge in Texarkana on Wednesday sentenced 50-year-old Jody L. Wilson of Ashdown, Ark., and ordered him to pay $3,142 in restitution.

Wilson in September pleaded guilty to felony theft of public property.

Prosecutors say Wilson in late 2007 stole various mechanical items, including spools of insulated wire, wrenches and an electric grinder.
