Spec ops, UNC to sign training pact

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Army's most elite soldiers are teaming with one of North Carolina's top universities to improve training on national security issues.

The partnership will allow University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill professors and soldiers at the U.S. Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg to share information, research and expertise in national security issues.

The Army and the UNC will sign the partnership Thursday during the Board of Governors November meetings in Chapel Hill.
