1. No time today to watch "Band of Brothers"-- my tradition...
But am listening to the soundtrack as I post this. If anyone has not seen BOB, today would be a great day to pick up the DVDs and remember some amazing and powerful history-- a true testament to the best of our country's men (and women) during a true war of necessity.

5. Got my own set of the DVD's.
Going to look for "The Pacific" today, it's supposed to be out on DVD...

But, it loses a lot on a tiny 4inch screen! I will buy those DVDs too when available--so HBO gets my $$ regardless.

Try fixing the link. The page does show versions of "Johnny I Hardly Knew Ye," so I'm guessing you have a particular one in mind?

The version I like is an old one from Joan Baez:
