Help with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Help with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and where symptoms overlap Gulf War Syndrome
The Treatment: Excess Potassium. The source being from juices-low sodium tomato juice (such as low Sodium V-8, low Sodium Cambell’s). For some reason, bananas do not work as noticeably and I haven’t been able to try banana juice. Dose 16 oz. per day until symptoms vanish. Begin again if/when symptoms return.

DO NOT TAKE IF YOU HAVE HEART PROBLEMS OR OTHER CONDITIONS CONCERNING ELECTROLYTE BALANCE. And note: I am not a medical researcher, this is just a good idea with a handful of evidence, don’t endanger yourself over some tomato juice!

What to expect: Some people do not notice results. Most people experience a pleasant tingling throughout their bodies within moments. Sleep is good “for the first time since they can remember.” Over the next few months muscle pain subsides and other symptoms vanish.

The theory: Prolonged exposure to high stress situations leads to long term detrimental exposure to the body’s own adrenaline. Adrenaline acts on all organs (which is why symptoms are so pervasive), the very cells and eventually damages cell wall receptors. These receptors in nature, are meant to be used in the short-term, and even so, when spent may leave a person ill. Long term, these receptors become damaged, and the body does not have mechanisms for healing them. Analogies fail here, but imagine they are valves that are no longer able to shut on their own. What the excess of Potassium does is to create a healthy pressure on the adrenaline receptors, allowing them to “close,” and the body to come out of high alert.

Background: I am a chemist, and in the course of my research into physiological salts I came across symptoms of Potassium deficiency and began to make a connection. I asked afflicted friends and associates to try the treatment. Results were positive. My attempts to work with concerned agencies, to perform better studies, met with failure: they seem to be more concerned with the cause than a treatment]\.

3. Please forward
Hey-please forward this around to those it may help, and
recommend if you find that it works for you. I created a
Facebook Group: "PSTD Physiological Treatment." The
same message as above, but send folks that way if it's easier.

4. So has this helped?
I'd like to know, and any details. Positive or negative. Many PTSD say that they are on a perscribed low Potassium diet. I don't think it's a coincidence.
