Gore to receive Webby lifetime acheivement award

Former Vice President Al Gore is scheduled to receive the lifetime achievement award at this year's 9th Annual Webby Awards, organizers said Tuesday.

Vint Cerf, widely credited as a founder of the Internet, is scheduled to present the award to Gore at the Internet honors' ceremony in New York June 6, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences said. Cerf is also a member of the academy.
