Some of the interesting developments out of NH over the past couple of days: Farrell Seiler (the organizer for the write-in campaign for Gore) did interviews with folks from New Hampshire public radio and a CBS affiliate yesterday. The Public Radio piece played, but I obviously haven't heard it and he didn't catch it either, although someone who heard it told Farrell it was quite positive. Also, there is an ad up on the website www.bluehampshire.com/frontPage.do. If you go to that site, look for the smiling face of Gore and click on the link given in the ad to go to the draftgoreNH.com page. And, finally, the latest poll from USA Today showed Hillary and Barack in a dead heat (32% each) in the NH primary, but, significantly 42% who responded for a particular candidate said they still might switch. In other words, things are still very fluid amongst potential primary voters. That, to me, says a lot of NH folks are still looking around for someone they can really feel comfortable with.
Farrell sent me a list of over 400 people inn NH to contact as soon as possible both for fund raising as well as to get a sense of whether they might still be a Gore supporter. If they are, they will be contacted again close to the primary day in a traditionsl Get Out The Vote effort. I know I've put the appeal out to folks on this forum before, but if anyone wants to help with phone calls, we could certainly use some. I suspect most of these calls will be made after Christmas since certainly by Sunday, I don't think people will want to be bothered with political calls.
Anyway, that's the latest.
