Anybody who listened to Gore on Fresh Air today would have heard a mature statesman, thinking deeply, broadly and long-term about what America needs and how the Democrats would not only win but govern .... He's ready, if you are....
And what are the other choices: Hillary and Barak? We have big electability problems with either of them. The biggest argument that either of them has is that the other is not electable and will not help local Democrats, either. Oh, great. The problem is that both of them have great arguments about the other. See my last diary.
t's time to think deeply about this rather than wake up with a hangover in November and wonder what we could have been thinking in nominating either Clinton or Obama. This is will be a hard race against McCain and one that defines policy for a generation.
Gore, this morning, showed that he had thought deeply about everything from executive power to taxation. It was not the craven electioneering, pandering, empty rhetoric and sloganeering that this primary has demonstrated.

I would say again - superdelegates, do your job. Do not commit until the convention or, actually, you should suggest Gore's name for nomination. A Gore-Obama ticket would be unstoppable. A ticket headed by Clinton or Obama will have us biting our nails and perhaps lose this election.
