Zsuzsanna Budapest, who has been at the forefront of the feminist Wiccan movement, has a birthday today! In addition to being the founder of Dianic Wicca, Budapest is also the author of a dozen or so books on modern Goddess-centered religions, including the groundbreaking Holy Book of Women's Mysteries.

1. Zsuzzzanna is a real hoot.......

While she was in the women's prison she got a large group of women to all sit around in a circle and chant with her.

She changed the words to one of the traditional pagan chants and made it very blatently gross and sexy (but funny).....all about women's viginas and "twats"...and they sang it at the top of their lungs...to the point it upset all the guards.

The group thought it was a hoot.

It was the talk of a lot of pagan circles at the time :)..hahaa

She also used her time in prison to teach about paganism :) and helped turn a few lives around by doing so. :)
