Have y'all met Tracy?
Christian for McCain?

The Menace o' God is so strong in this one that words alone cannot express His Will -- she has to roil her face alarmingly like a demented squeeze toy:

If I ever dreamed of lobbing a dark threat at my wife on TV... Charlie's Asswhuppin' would be #1 on YouTube :wow:

All I can say is IGNORANT. Hope the lord will provide when they lose the house the job and any chance for public assistance. But at least McLame and his lipstick adorned hog Palin are good believers.

4. No sound card here, but the face says it all.
That is the face of someone who is confident that she knows everything, the kind of confidence that only profound ignorance brings.

6. Hee!
Isn't she lovely? The extended segment shows the family at dinner -- a cold cut hoagie with chips on her plate, single slices of frozen pizza for the rest. I don't know about her husband, but after voting me out of a job and making me a televised doormat, I wouldn't have any problem letting her know her Stay At Home And Chuck Something In The Microwave privileges were over.

She really gave herself away with that bug-eyed "President OH-BAH-MUH?!", didn't she? Religion was backup for what was freaking her more: having a black African stowaway in the Oval Office. (And if she wasn't too stupid to look it up, she'd find that any 7 in 10 random Obamas from Kenya would be Christians anyway)

7. She's a real piece of work.
She can't stand the idea of having an atheist mother, how do you think her kids feel right now?

10. I don't much care for the theory that religious faith is a form of mental illness.
But fanatics like that are dangerous, whether they're muslim, christian or some other flavor.

Their brand of paranoid, delusional hatred will surely be the end of us all.

11. I've never liked the mental illness comparison. I think of it more as
willful ignorance. The majority of people do not want complicated answers or can't accept that we may not have an answer. I think it's the reason political campaigns are sound bites and attacks. Most people don't want to think about complicated answers. They also want to rationalize childhood ideal or self-serving interests. Most people also love the comfort of us vs. them world views. Though the religious really do bring the mental illness comparison onto themselves. If someone hears voices of imaginary people they are crazy, unless it's

or his dad

I also think the comparison mocks the mentally ill. That is not a choice and shouldn't be used to portray everyone who people disagree with. Unfortunately that women is representative of a lot of people. The only difference with her is her facial expressions and the way she speaks. She is using the same logic that a lot of this country uses to vote. That is fucking frightening. Unfortunately a lot of more reasonable believers give legitimacy to the large group of rabid believers.

I love that pic. I'm going to have to steal that.

12. The comparison does trivialize mental illness.
And like I've said before, I'd love to believe in mythical creatures too, but it's not an option for me.
Besides, the world is interesting enough without them.

Help yourself to the picture, I had so many of them I started a flickr account.

Here is one of my favorites:
