but that's just me. I survived Catholic school and in fact, that's probably why I turned atheist at the ripe old age of 10. There's something to being a lousy role model and showing kids how not to live their lives.

However, cults are a little different in that they strive to sever all connections to people outside the cult.

If this guy wants to keep his kid in his life, he needs to sue to get him away from the cult.

Show me how the teachings of Scientology are more dangerous to a child than those of Catholicism. From where I'm sitting, they're equally nutty.

Catholicism is arguably more dangerous because it's taken as a mainstream religion and its doctrines are not questioned or challenged whereas Scientology isn't offered any respect.
