"If you knew going to church would wipe out malaria would you go?"
This is the barf-tacular commercial I heard on local TV the other day. What a shitty piece of guilt ridden misleading crap.
Why don't you just say GIVE US YOUR MONEY OR TEH POOR PEOPLE WILL DIE!!
Geezus. Last I checked it was the scientists working on experimental vaccines and new drugs who have a chance of that. Not the snake oil merchants who prefer to convert you before they help you out...:puke:

1. Believers are weird
What makes them think a deity that created malaria would be interested in wiping it out, even for the maximum in human flattery?

2. What does that even mean?
I'll suggest an alternative: "If you knew that malarial parasites have evolved resistance to many anti-malaria drugs, would you still go to church?" I think mine makes as much sense, and it contains the scary E-word.

3. "But it doesn't. It never has and it never will."
If fiction was fact, that'd be neato. But it isn't.
