Eddie Izzard admits his atheism on Craig Ferguson
A funny moment from two cutups who love riffing off each other. They're rollicking along when Eddie says, "no, I don't believe in God", which provokes a demented cackle from a lady in a quiet audience (BWAAH, too funny! He's joking, right? He has to be joking). Craig plays shocked believer to Eddie's heretic and steers them off of thin ice:

1. Well, it's no big news about Eddie
He's long been listed on several "famous atheists" sites.

The video won't load for me.

3. Not because it's news
Because it's funny and exasperating. 2 gents from the Isles know they're in 19th 21st century America and need to clown their way past it, fast. Eddie: "Has anyone ever said that in America?" Craig: "When you said it, I went to the bathroom a little bit. I was like, Oh My God!"

4. Ferguson's really been Americanised, hasn't he?
This is a Glaswegian who started in comedy billed as Bing Hitler, and now he's a smooth chat-show host who says "went to the bathroom"!

5. Bing Hitler?
Heh, I didn't know that. Yeah, if he has ambitions of reaching the top, he'd better keep that part of himself tamped down. Over here, not only does Leno's head-bobbling blandness win the Tonight Show crown over Letterman, but it goes on to consistently outdraw Letterman for the next 15 years.
