Apparently we now owe our thanks to Christianity for Guinness.
Expect to come across it cited alongside Bach's St. Matthew's Passion and other works of art claimed by Christians as their religion's contribution to the world.

6. ah
but Stalin was an atheist. So, you know, that makes up for everything religion has done.

The fact that evil was done is unimportant. The only thing that matters is that the evil is BALANCED

3. I thank it for Chartreuse
which is herbal liqueur produced by monks who have been bounced between France and Spain. It's truly magical stuff and if I can manage to drink again before I die, that will be what I drink. Well, sip very slowly, savoring each flavor as it manifests.

Still, Mother Rome has always favored bad art over good, as anyone who grew up in an Irish Catholic church in the US can attest to.

4. Christianity? Fair enough. Just don't credit god for it.
I can be grateful that Christianity gives some time and opportunity to talented monks to brew, distill, or breed interesting libations. Religions always try to get credit for secular progress. Because prayer doesn't do much.

5. Even if Christianity gave us Guinness
Bud light is one of the best arguments against intelligent design.
