Tony Blair's sister-in-law converts to Islam
Jebus. That whole family is nuts. As some of the articles point out, Booth is really Cherie Blair's half-sister.

Booth has described herself as a "human rights activist." Good thing too, since Tehran seems to have a real shortage of those.

Tony Blair's sister-in-law has converted to Islam after having what she describes as a "holy experience" during a visit to Iran.

Journalist and broadcaster Lauren Booth, 43 – Cherie Blair's sister – now wears a hijab whenever she leaves her home, prays five times a day and visits her local mosque whenever she can...

Booth – who works for Press TV, the English-language Iranian news channel – has stopped eating pork and reads the Qur'an every day. She is currently on page 60.

1. She converted six weeks ago but she's only on page 60 of the Koran?

6. If she's devout
then she'd be reading it in arabic, since any other language isn't "holy."

So if she's translating as she goes, I'll cut her a break

7. Every Muslim I've discussed the issue with does prefer reading it in Arabic but...
I'd be more willing to cut her a break if she read it before converting.

5. Great. If she busts someone in the jaw, Sis will keep her out of jail
There ought to be a LaurenWatch page where we can keep track of her descent into disaffection. Every explanation she's given for her new faith reads like a travelogue in exotic Happy Wog Land. If she has even a dim glimmer of what the religion is about, she hasn't shown it yet.

Look out Lauren, here comes a spoiler... He marries the 6-year-old. And boinks her at 9.

I'm always amazed at the daft impulses that cause some of these people to make The Most Important Decision of Their Life. Peter Hitchens ran gibbering back to the Church after viewing a painting of the Judgment in a museum.
