Something interesting from the winner of this season of Survivor
I don't have a link handy, but the very young and gifted winner of Survivor Nicaragua (only 21, youngest ever, been in gifted programs since he was five, acted like a dumb surfer and fooled everyone) said this in an interview:

Religion, y'know, it's a tricky subject...I believe that religion comes from non-intellectual people trying to discuss very intellectual things.

Religion rarely comes up on the show, btw. There have been a couple of times some very religious people banded together, but they never really got anywhere. There was one loon in season six (Amazon) who didn't like having the Immunity Idol in her camp because, you know, idol.

The winner of season 4 in Marquesas was the only overtly religious winner out of all 20, and is also one of the least favourite amonst the fandom, and has never been asked back for any of the All Stars seasons (three, so far).

I've read some interviews that basically said that liberals pretty much rule on the show as contestants.

Oh, and Richard Hatch, the very first winner, is, I believe, an atheist. I could be wrong, but I know he didn't have some flattering things to say about religion.
