A rant about Church traffic on Sunday (in Floriduh)
Don't know if this happens in other states...just wondering if it does..

I made the mistake (again)..today, Sunday... of going to Compusa.
This trip usually takes about 15-20 minutes if trafic is fairly heavy.
On Sundays it takes around an hour..Hour and a half..Why?
Because the Babtist churches (and others) around here, hire Police Officers to hold up all the traffic so the "Saints"
don't have to wait for those pesky stoplights.
And I mean do they hold up traffic.
You'll be going down the road/highway and you come to the dreaded Parking lot/Traffic Jam.
You get out of your car...look WAY down the highway and sure enough, the Cops are letting ALL ..
..and I mean ALL the Churchers slowly cross the intersection.
Then traffic flows for...oh...1 minutes and Boom...stop again..Repeat 15 Fucking times. (AAAAGGGHHH)

The thing that pisses me off the most is: The Cops don't do this shit for heavy traffic during big Sale days or
the state fair but Ohhhh...Heaven fucking forbid the the Church people have to wait for the normal traffic flow..Fuck NOOOOOO...
Oh..Take another route??...Nope..they do the same shit all over the city...Fucks up the system. :(
Another thing..I don't give a shit if they pay the Cops to do this crap. If people want to attend Church then play by the same rules when I go to the "Big Sale" on Black Friday or whenever.

Ok..I feel better...:) :)

1. Same thing happens here in my neighborhood
in North Georgia. The cops are out in full force in front of the churches on Sunday. It's not just in Florida. Probably other states as well, especially here in the Deep South.

4. One thing I looked closely at when I bought here
was where the churches are. Even without police help, the saintly fuck up traffic for a couple of hours near every church in town.

The only one near me is a Moonie church. Since I've never seen anyone there (and think it's likely just a tax dodge), I figured it was a safe place to move. It was.

12. I read that wrong (and I'm glad.)
I thought your name for the traffic was "the saintly fuck-up traffic."

I'm keeping it.

5. we have a different, from similar problem here
in the local neighbourhood. There's a private Catholic school/church. The parking is a nightmare for blocks around, and you can give up trying to get out of the neighbourhood in the afternoon between 2 and 3.

7. We use to live across the street from a K-6 Catholic school.
I was so tired of being stuck in their traffic, especially that lady with the bumper sticker that read "Republican Women are Leaders: You're Following One."

Oh, please. You're second place in your party and to your republican husband AND YOU KNOW IT. Unless you're hot, then they put you out front and center, no matter how stupid you are. It's their little way of letting their women know that the men in the republicMEN party don't want a woman to speak unless spoken to.

8. Yep, I have that problem too...
A BIG Catholic spookery, named for St. Joseph The Holy Cuckold.

Of course it has a private school attached. When they're dropping off the rug-rats in the morning...boy-howdy! The way those Sucker-Moms fling the SUVs and mini-vans around, doing U-turns in a major street and cutting across traffic, you'd think they were trying to meet Jeebus right that second.

9. oy
They're always running into the street without looking (pedestrian) or pulling out without looking (vehicle). I've lost count of how many accidents I've narrowly avoided.

11. Nope. I think most of the churches here in the Deep South
are Southern Baptist or Methodist. There is only one Catholic church in my neighborhood that I know of. I'm just northwest of Atlanta.
