The creationist BS and the authoritarian tone of many of the textbooks made we want to weep. Seriously, the 3rd Grade English textbook sad that GAWD will be angry at you if you don't use proper grammar. the 5th Grade Social Studies book quotes Genesis to explain why earth's axis is tilted.

1. Did you put them in the recycle bin?
I have to admit that at my Wednesday night at a coffee shop I tossed a brochure on the community news board from a crisis pregnancy center.

3. If that garbage miraculously found it's way to the garbage bin, would that really be a sin?
 No, really. It wouldn't.

5. That's mathematically equivalent to stealing.
Adding a negative = subtracting.

7. My late father-in-law was a doctor and had several medical reference books
from the late 1800s and early 1900s. They said stuff like keeping pregnant women from seeing deformed people or it might cause a birth defect in the child. Don't let her take piano lessons while pregnant or she may give birth to an effeminate boy. Really ridiculous stuff that was believed by the medical community in those days. A book collector offered my husband a few thousand dollars for the books some years ago, but he refused. My advice: keep the damned books for yourself. Your great-great grandchildren might get a blast seeing how stupid creationists and fundies were back in the day and the books might be worth some big money to them. Caveat here: hopefully, those damn creationist fundies will be an unpleasant footnote in our nation's history. Almost a century after the Scopes trial, it's astounding that the ignorant are still trying to supplant science with fairy tales.
