One of the reasons I left and was gone for such a long time was all the mythists who monitored this group and went howling to Skinner with their indignation over perceived "disrespect".

as long as we don't call out specific DU religionists.

Anybody who whines to Skinner et al. about hostility to religion on an atheist board shouldn't have been intruding here in the first place.

FWIW, organized religion is a load of bunk peddled to innocent children so they won't grow up and murder the rich in their beds.

I don't know if they still do it, but on those occasions when we'd get a troll on the board, the mods would let us chew on him for a while (chewtoy) before banning them. Once banned, their profile was replaced with a graphic of a headstone inscribed "Here lies a Disruptor. He disrupted poorly."
