For a waiter who depends on tips to earn more than minimum wage, a $10 tip can be a welcome sight. But not in this instance.

As the waiter found out in the below image posted on Reddit, not only was that $10 bill not the real deal, it only made the matter worse with its "Some Things Are Better Than Money" religious message on the back.

1. Christians are notoriously bad tippers

particularly after they've been to church. It's sad these people thought proselytizing could take the place of a tip. Then again, they always feel like they're doing their victim a great service by pushing their religion on them.

HAHA yes, I worked at a you know which popular Australian themed steak restaurant in high school, and we had a few of these. We ALWAYS made note of the people that pulled that crap... and were dumb enough to come back.

This kind of stuff just provides atheist-fuel to those who need it.


Awesome, a pairing of two of the lousiest people on the planet. Those who don't tip, and fairy tale worshiping proselytizers.


My wife was a server in the south and would occasionally get these on Sunday's in place of tips and hated it. Once she had a customer see her express frustration when picking one up and approach her to say (in a deep southern accent) "honey that's the best TIP you'll ever receive" and it only pissed her off further. The person then said something like, well what do you expect when you work on the Lord's day? So apparently it's ok to visit these places on the Lord's Day, but not work at them?

Oh yes! I'll be spending the Xmas holidays in the South (as I do nearly every year), and that poster is right. Lots of Xian cheapskates pull this crap. I can always tell by the crestfallen look on the server's face.

I even saw it done once to a young woman who was clearly an enthusiastic Xian - she was wishing all her customers "a blessed day" as they left. She still got stiffed with a piece of religious propaganda.

To generalize even more, the stiffers usually seem to be the biggest, noisiest and rudest parties in the restaurant. Usually complete with a whole passel of loud and ill-mannered rug-rats.

She wrote that the conspicuous Christians in their "WWJD?" T-shirts invariably left either no tip or a religious tract.

Unfortunately, servers rarely know who is going to do that until after the meal. The only way to exact revenge is if they come back and sit at the same server's station.

The after church crowds have got to be the worst.
