I have met, become acquainted with, worked with, gone to classes with, spent time out of the USA with, went to High School with, slept with, cried with, recovered from an illness or injury with...............about 1000-1200 people I have known in the last 60+ years....
About 60 of them, 4-6% I want to know about for the rest of my life.
If you have people sending you stuff like that on Facebook, unless you have to see them on Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving....time to give them up, they are no longer "friends".
My opinion only. But who needs people whose major means of communicating with the rest of the world is on Facebook? If you don't have 10-30 people a month with whom you can communicate in person, at work, volunteering, at a club, at some bar, on Skype, even in email.... why bother with those who want to propagate their religion via Facebook? Those people are desperate, and have unresolved issues with which they are using their computers to overcome. Send them a curt note"
their religion doesn't belong in your Facebook messages box.
And unfriend them immediately. Get this stuff out of your life, the sooner the better. We have Republicans and Newt Gingrich to deal with, not religious zealots.
