I Peter 4:3-4, For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries: Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you.
I seem to be getting more and more emails lately with bible verses in their signature files like the one above. This is one I got from a government employee today. I'm a government employee too and I can guaran-damn-tee you if I included an atheistic message in my sig file I'd be called on the carpet in a jiffy, yet bible verses seem to be widely tolerated. The last time I got one, I reported it to the guy's boss...I never heard from anyone in that office again. The sender of the one today is retiring and this was his message of appreciation to all who worked with him, so I'm not going to do anything, but it still pisses me off! I'm so damn SICK of everyone assuming their biblical blatherings are welcome, or even make sense.
How's this for a signature file? How long do you think I would keep my job if it was attached to my emails????
"Until you reject your mythical gods and silly superstitions, you will never know the joy of believing in yourself and having the confidence to make your own decisions based on rational thought, not on the fickle, self-serving teachings of men purporting to speak for your god."
