Was I out of line for insisting that instead of admonishing us to quit calling christian terra-ists "Christian", that they should take other action?

And if they were already doing that, why not SAY so, instead of throwing the "Oh, you're PERSECUTING me" card?

Y'see, this is one thing that has ALWAYS bugged me about religion, and particularly Christianity....560-odd flavours of the SAME religion, yet every ONE of them has the "One True Word" and ALL the rest have "False Doctrine".
"Oh, WE'RE the REAL Christians, Not like those Mary-worshippers" say the SBC's.
"Iffn ye don' go t'mah church, yer gwinna t'HELL! aid the old machinist where I used to work, referring that place near where the stockyards used to be where rumour had it they played with snakes....

Hell, at least I didn't advise them of the world-wide wood shartage....

I get so pissed when I hear that "true" christian bullshit.
What they are saying is that if someone is "bad" like (insert name of evil christian here) they are not really a christian.
Like they get the final say so.

Good = christian
Bad = not a christian

And they wonder why we get pissed ?

I had the same problem last night, somebody told me my post "infuriated" them.

Legitimacy is in the eye of the Believer, but they didn't want to see that, instead, grabbing their King James marbles and declaring that they were gonna go home, all in a huff...

And that sigline with the animated old hippy doing Tai-Chi is a little creepy, too IMO....

I've read about these groups, and I can tell you, the "Christian Identity" people believe they are "TRUE Christians" every damn bit as much as the Archbishop of Canterbury does. Even more so.

I used to WORK with one of those C-I people. Scary.

said poster would be screaming about those "muslim terra-ists" and those other muslims should denounce them. You showed them that it's no fun having the same rules applied to them they'd apply to those other people.
