Looking for advice
and some moral support.

My first biz failed a little over a year ago. I've been out of work for the last year (luckily hubby is not) and I've been putting together a good start up package for a new biz.

I've got a biz plan I'm proud of, an operations manual completed, and a solid marketing plan ready to put in place. But for the past 3 months I've been in a holding pattern. Everything is ready, except me.

Intellectually I know that businesses fail and that some of the most successful people have had multiple failures. But still I'm not starting.

How can I push through this funk?

1. Do you have a SCORE mentor?
I'm talking about those local SBA retired biz people
who hold your hand and walk you through the process.
That might be the push you need.

3. I used to work for an english company years ago and.......
one line my english boss used to say always stuck with me whenever I was hesitating. He would say "just get on with it." As dum as it sounds it has kept me moving forward.
I started my own company 5 years ago and finally it seems to be "beginning" to pay off. LOL, if I had a buck for everyone that said I was going to be rich, I would be rich by now. I'm not, as a matter of fact I'm still not making near what I used to make when I worked for a regular company (and that wasn't much) but my chances are much better than working for someone else.
The point of this rambling is that you just need to dive in. The worst case scenario is you fail. So what? Most people do the first few times in thier own business. Think of it as a learning process and always be flexible if an opportunity arises.
You never know where it will lead you. I wouldn't have guessed in a million years that I would be involved with the projects I am.
Good Luck and "Just get on with it".

5. Just do it...
Sounds like you have all your ducks in a row. Look at any past failures as lessons learned and avoid them in the new venture.

Good luck.

If you would like a critique of your plan, PM me.
