IRobot: What'd y'all think of it?
I liked it. It wasn't a classic but it was good. It showed some intelligence, and Alex Proyas is a great director. But it still focused too much on CGI action. The movie shined when it was being more serious, and failed when it was trying to be a Hollywood blockbuster.

1. I liked it.
I really liked the series of books by Asimov. I thought the movie was great, especially the special effects, which were outstanding. The casting was good, except (minor nitpick) for Will Smith, who seemed kind of confused about his character. The leading lady was also good.

I hope they continue on with turning the Robot books into movies. I would also like to see a miniseries of the Foundation series.

2. Didn't care for it
There was at least one huge plot hole that shot down the whole movie for me, and usually I just assume "artistic license" on that kind of thing.

3. It had good FX, and I loved seeing the Chicago of the future...
but other than that there wasn't much about it I enjoyed. Will Smith tends to ruin movies for me.

4. Bought it and was impressed by the effects and saddened by the
screenplay.
