Taking a break from all your worries - Spoiler

I just watched the last BSG Ep and the "bonus" scene on the web.

spoiler space

That bonus scene on the web was a rather key ommission from the broadcast version wasn't it? That scene changes completely how I saw Roslin's decision to give Baltar a trail rather than airlock him. Without the scene it was clear part of Roslin's decision was based on cold pragmatism that we've seen in her but it also appeared in part to be a moral self-restraint, a bit of human compassion. With the bonus scene both of those reasons are still there pehraps but the compassion aspect is much much reduced, it is much more the cold pragmatic Roslin coming through.

Also, I didn't even register the Episode Title until after I watched. Did I miss any homages to "Cheers" in the episode? What did you all see if anything?

1. The Bar

Not Cheers per se, but they introduced the Bar (Joes?) as a new setting, so I'm assuming that's where the title came from.

Well, since the scene is a cut scene, I'm not entirely sure when it happened. Did she meet w/ Caprica before or after deciding to try Baltar?? Now that you mentioned it I think it probably DID happen before she made her decision, but when I watched it, since it actually was AIRED after the episode, I was thinking that Caprica was asking for something (the trial) that was already decided. But you're probably right and it was meant to be inserted before she made the decision and was part of her deliberation.

3. I Know
I watched it on the web, but I watched it thinking that it happened AFTER she decided to try Baltar. Then after I read your post I realized it probably took place before she made that decision (which would make more sense).
