Sarah Connor Chronicles
Anyone here watch it last night?

I didn't. I like the first couple of Terminator movies and in a way the premise of this show sounded interesting enough, but I was doubtful and even if it was ok I didn't feel complelled to try and catch it and add another show to my TV rotation.

But it appears to have gotten some good words from a few people over on the Asimov's board.

So I was just looking for a broader sample of assessment.

1. I liked it.
It seems to have ignored Terminator 3 (which is a good thing, in my opinion) and when I first saw Summer Glau (from Firefly) I couldn't place her.
She acted so differently in T:SCC that at first I didn't recognize she played River Tam in Firefly/Serenity.

I won't spoil anything, but I think it has potential. I'll give it a shot.

2. I agree. After 2 episodes, they've been true to the original story
and what's even better is that they nicely step around the whole all T-800s look like Arnold thing. It actually reminds me a bit of the old Dark Horse series from the late 80s/early 90s.

The show seems to have a real concern for characters and storyline, but also has a lot of really good action as well.

So far, so good!

3. I'm enjoying it.
No one does weirdly beautiful like Summer Glau.

"Sarah" is a bit annoying.

What the hell was that all about w/ the chick committing suicide? Did I miss something or is it meant to be unexplained until later episodes???

8. Hopefully . . .

. . . in the next episode.

My guess is that John will rescue the girl and then get his picture in the press which will guide the terminator to him.

The interesting question from last night is will there be a romance between John and Cameron. Seems somewhat inevitable as the background for it is being set.

10. Not that one . . .
. . . another painted door, another suicide attempt with a new person. It's too weird a plot device to not be pursued in the next episode, especially since they're still going to that high school.

11. Ahh, Gotchya
Yeah, it's pretty weird. What was it? A door w/ a bra hanging on the doorknob and the name "DAN" on it? And was it always the same thing they were looking at? Wasn't there a couple of times during the show when the students were looking at something?

12. Yes
Twice I think. First time was when they were just entering the school, after the metal detector.
