Anyone remember this show?

I have to admit this is one of my favorite nerd shows. Star Trek, underwater? Dude, I'm so there. :)

Okay, so some of the stories were kind of lame, and it had Ted Raimi in it, and then there's that craptastic Season 3 (that NEVER HAPPENED. Okay?!). But something about this show appealed to my pre-teen nerd girl brain. Probably the adorable talking dolphin, and this guy:

I'm not ashamed to say, I had the world's biggest 13-year-old girl crush on Jonathan Brandis. Sure, he was basically the Wesley Crusher of the show, but I also had a crush on Wil Wheaton so that was only a plus to me. I cried my eyes out when I found out he recently committed suicide. What a tragic waste of a young life. :(

1. oh sure
I remember being very excited when they started advertising DSV as a "new" show. And then I remember my growing disapointment with it as the episodes past.

Another example of a good idea that never quiet reached it's potential.

7. More like "Voyage to the Bottom of the Ratings"
I can't believe they let it hang on in pain as long as they did.

3. Seaquest DSV or something like that?
About that super-advanced submarine, right? With the sentient dolphins?

6. Ding ding we have a winner
There were way better shows on tv, but I really liked Seaquest. Well at least I did before it got all stupid and they killed off everyone except Lucas and brought Michael Ironside (the Ted McGinley of sci-fi) on the show.

5. Brandis was a better actor than Wheton...
but that's not saying much. I detested the voice for the dolphin, and thought he was too gimmicky (worse than Twikki, Buck Rogers' kosher deli robot).

My friends and I used to make fun of SQ-DSV all the time. Once an episode, we'd say at least in that nasal on helium dolphin tone..."Lucas....is...Gaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!"

Michael Ironside as the other Captain was good, as was both of the Deloise brothers, especially the one with gills.
