As long as we're posting 70's SciFi camp . . . "Battle Beyond the Stars"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0080421/

What's not to like? Richard Thomas, George Peppard, a race of alien that mates in groups of three . . . it had it all.

1. Can't beat George Peppard. What was that post-apocalypse
movie he was in, with the giant scorpions, killer cockroaches, and friends?

4. That was it! Sometimes, I miss being 10 years old. I can hardly
bear to watch most of that hoky sci-fi crap from the 70s anymore. But when I was 10, baby.... It was like fine wine, every saturday afternoon...

5. They used stock footage from that in 'Space Raiders' and at
least 1 other, can't remember the name. I recognized the spaceship with boobs (no other way to describe it) as the fleet flew into battle.

I think they used the same soundtrack, as well.

6. The Varda teaches us that heroes named after murky water fish
always survive. Isn't that right Shad?
Yes Nell...

Still watch that one whenever it appears on The Action Channel.
