I will follow my usual practise of not going online from 2000 hrs Eastern until Survivor has aired here on the West Coast, to avoid spoilers.
However, many people might forget. So, for the inevitable Survivor threads, here's a couple of ideas:
One: Start threads as you feel like, but please, NO SPOILERS IN THE SUBJECTS where they can easily be read.
Two: I or someone else could start an official weekly Survivor thread with a safe subject, dated and everything, that Survivor posts would go in for that week.
Also, if anyone has spoilers they want to post beyond the current episode, please put it in a clearly marked spoiler thread. Barring that, please "spoiler tag" it. This can be easily done like so:
Gosh, I can't believe *one tribe gets to kill and eat the other at the end of the season!*
One only has to swipe between the stars to see the message. For those who don't know how to do this, here it is in an easier to read mode:
Gosh, I can't believe *{font color=white}one tribe gets to kill and eat the other at the end of the season!{/font}*
Just replace the curvy brackets {} with square brackets [] and you're fine. And make sure you cover up enough stuff that it's not obvious what you're talking about. Some of us are pathological about spoilers. For instance, I quit posting and reading all newsgroups because spoilers kept showing up in inappropriate places. It's like finding out the score of a game you have taped. Takes away the fun.
Thank you from the most anal retentive of anti-spoiler folks. :hi:
