Current (4/06) Amazing Race: Who will win?

Of the remaining teams, I think the "hippie" team (who I like and hope to win), then the frat boys have the best chance (I don't care for them too much) but I think it's fairly even though. I think the BJ and Tyler will win as they had a miracle erase their huge blunder driving the wrong way by having Lake/Michelle blunder even worse and get eliminated. Ray & Yolanda have seemed to always be near last for reasons that weren't entirely clear but they seem to be doing better as the race goes on. I wouldn't count out the older couple at all, they seem to be the strongest retired couple yet on the race. I think Monica's a weak link on the Joseph/Monica team but they've done well at times too.

Did anyone but me think "redneck Alec Baldwin" about Lake? I actually kind of liked their team a little, in a crazy way.

1. Lake was obnoxious to his wife

I think last week he actually called her "bitch". I haven't like him for many weeks now because of that.

The hippie guys are pretty cool. The frat boys are pigs (at least they were before the young women were eliminated.) Now that Lake is out I don't really care which team wins. It's just fun to watch.

2. I've watched a few of these, this one 'feels' the most like a RACE to me.

Seems like they've refined their format a bit in good ways, less race legs that completely bunch everyone up onto the same flight again regardless where they came in last time... it seems like through most of this race, if you finished near the end, there were real consequences and you had to fight your way forward in another leg or two, instead of "right back with everyone else on the same flight to London" or whatever.

3. I hope it's the "hippies"

They crack me up and seem to treat all the other contestants well. They are just happy people. I also like Ray and Yolanda but I agree that they never seem to do well. As for the older couple, quit whining! It's strange, but I often find myself thinking the same for other older couples that have competed in the past -- why all the whining?

With Lake and Michelle eliminated, I'd be happy with any of the remaining teams winning. The frat boys least of all though. Their constant talk of hooking up was tiresome and I get tired of them winning nearly every leg. The winners of each leg win a prize and I'd like other teams to get some prizes, too! I didn't like Lake at all; his comments about "we have to beat the black team" (paraphrasing) in the first couple episodes gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Not to mention his comments towards his wife but she fought back, I have to give her credit for not rolling over and taking it.

I am just happy The Amazing Race is back and back in its regular format. :) I read online that their ratings aren't so great and it scares me. :scared: Don't cancel one of my favorite TV shows!!! Is it in the same timeslot as other popular TV shows? (I don't know, I am overseas and am stuck downloading it off the internet weekly)
