Survivor's Shane is also an actor

I don't know about anyone else, but I think Shane is loony. His mood swings are downright scary and his ego is huge. He's one of those Survivor contestants I love to hate. I saw this article on MSNBC's site about Shane and other contestants the audience loves to hate: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12290300/

I admit and agree with the article, the show would be a lot less interesting if some of these contestants were voted off too soon. But I still cross my fingers every week that they will go and get frustrated when they make it yet another week. (My main disappointment this season is that some of the women and Bruce didn't leave Shane's alliance and join the Sally, Terry, etc. alliance. Or mix it all up in some way.)

I wonder how much of his craziness is acting? Probably none of it, he is just too good at it.

Anyway, I just thought it was interesting and I miss the weekly threads about Survivor this season! (I'm no good at starting them).

BTW, Shane named his kid Boston. His last name is Powers. Boston Powers. :eyes:

I will keep watching the show. I really don;t like Shane. He just annoys me. I turn away when he is on screen for too long. Thank god, after last night's reward challenge, it seems like he and courtney will be the next to go.

2. What I found really creepy was...

He told Courtney he'd come kill her. Ok, so an empty threat and I'd personally shrug it off coming from most people. But then the way he totally lost it and freaks out at nothing (I really don't remember what it was 5 seconds after the death threat) is just scary! And he acted so childish about Cirie not inviting him along on the reward. I think I would be afraid of him. The only time I liked Shane for even a second was when he was discussing Bruce leaving the game, I saw a sane and caring person.

I really hated the way Bruce left. My husband and I were hoping Courtney was playing with her fire thingies and hit Shane and he was carted off (edited to be more clear: hoping this when we saw the previews). Not that I wish harm on the man, but if it was someone going due to accident/illness...

I'm not a fan of Courtney but I felt bad for her after that challenge. I can't imagine being stuck there with a handful of people and finding out they don't like you. She must have felt very alone.
