Treasure Hunters finale - spoilers..
I know this "All American" rip off of the movie "National Treasure" might not be that popular here, but I have two questions to ask those who watched this, or at least the last episode..

First off, "FSKEY"? I've got to hand it to the "genises" for figuring this out, but what if they NEVER figured it out?

Personally, I DID think about pressing the "only star" in the hall a'la Raiders of the Lost Ark, and that would have done the trick! But "FSKEY"? Was this in any way a logical answer to the puzzle? To be clear, did the name Francis Scott Key ever appear with the first two initials and last name like that in the "clues"

Second, and this was my real question, what was up with the "big surprise" about revealing how much they won? I mean, thanks to TiVo, I jumped ahead, and ahead, etc. and damn if it didn't do an "American Idol" and wait until the last possible moment to reveal the secret....

But I mean, did it WORK? Wouldn't finding out it was going to be a million dollars EACH made it exiciting during the shows themselves? I honestly think it was taking a chance, which I applaud, but in the end I didn't think it delivered as it would have had they simply said how much it was in advance, as Survivor does.

Opinions?

1. I thought it was anticlimactic
I wasn't 100% invested in this show. It wasn't as interesting as I expected it to be. I have been playing the online challenge, though, and I found that to be a lot of fun. I did watch every week, just the same, and I was disappointed in the finale.

Everything had to do with the Star Spangled Banner so I don't think "FSKEY" was too much of a stretch. I don't think I would have thought of that, however.

I read that the $3M is an annuity but I don't understand the secrecy either.

I wonder how, after all the time the Genusi spent in that final room, no one had to go to the bathroom. :) The power of editing perhaps?

2. I watched the season and was bored to tears most of the time

the host is TERRIBLE. He had trouble controling the cast in the reunion segment. Note to reality show hosts, let the contestants see each other before coming out on stage so they aren't reuniting after months apart. Let them get the hugs out of the way before shooting begins.

I think the reason they didn't reveal how much the "treasure" was worth was in case the show was cancelled they could only pay the team $300k or something small so the producers aren't out of pocket $3mil.
