Survivor Cook Islands - Episode 3 Discussion Thread
We all knew the merge was coming. there was no way they could keep the tribes divided into such small groups for so long. IT was fun while it lasted.

Of the new tribes, Aitu is obviously weaker physically, but I think they will do better overall. If Jonathon and Yul can keep things going, they should enter the merge with a strong alliance, if they can win a few ICs and keep things close to even. I wonder if Jonathon is making a good call by sticking with Candace, who had a close relationship with Adam and may turn on Jonathon at the merge. We'll see though.

Nate catching the octopus was cool as hell. PArvati better ease up on teh flirting or it will be her end. Overall I like the new tribes and am looking forward to how it goes.

1. I was surprised at how Caoboi and the tatooed chick
voted.

I wish the vote would have gone the other way (don't remember anyone's names) so we could have seen if the Hidden Idol holder would have used it, as he had said.

Whites and Asians against Blacks and Hispanics

5. How can Jonathan
not realize that Ozzy is his biggest threat. I guess you weaken his numbers and then go for Ozzy, but that might be dangerous.

I like how Caoboi was able to figure out that they were just the swing votes and would then be the first discarded. Flicka just couldn't wrap her head around that. She will clearly be the first jetisoned by the group.

7. I think he realizes that Ozzy is a threat with his scheming but he
is very physical and it's a good idea to keep him around for challenges.

Flicka has to go with her wishy washy attitude. I think Johnathan hit the nail on the head with people are either here to win or for the experience, she is there for the experience.

9. Flicka is a bit of a maroon....
"I'm not here to make alliances, I'm here to make friends"....Um, sweetie, did you miss the memo?

Shaping up to be very interesting indeed...

2. On CNN, just now,
the 10th most popular story is the merger of the tribes! I can't believe Nate bagged an octopus...pretty neat!

3. I waatched a local newscaster say that he thought they merged
the tribes due to the pressure of advertisers leaving the show and the reaction of the public. He was then told that the entire show was taped in the early summer and he felt pretty stupid.

6. Why send little miss whitebread to the island
That move made no sense to me. Send someone that they want to vote off but you want them to keep.

I, too, wish that the immunity idol had been forced in this episode.

8. It wasn't a bad idea considering that she was in a known
alliance with the others.
