Yau-man won the truck. He pays taxes on the gain? right?

Then, he GIVES the truck, with no explicit "contract" (ie: it's a GIFT), to Dreamz - does Yau-man now have to pay gift taxes AS WELL??

I'm asking because I think so!

He owned it outright and possessed it long enough to barter it to another in exchange for something, a promise that was not lived up to. I say he has to pay income tax on the truck.
