Hey Everyone. Each season I try to post a new thread on Friday to talk about the last episode. My only rules, NO SPOILING THE GAME!!! By spoiling I mean, no talking about ANY information not aired or dispursed by CBS or by the producers (Brunet, Probst...). Interviews are fine, but not stuff from all the spoil websites out there. Talking about the previews on TV are fine too. Of course, once an episode airs, have at it to talk about it. Also, If I don;t post this, I may be busy at work or otu of town. Please, anyone who gets here on a Friday mornign who wants to start a discussion thread on a Survivor episode, please go ahead.
As for last night. GREAT START! Good cast, though a few need to come out of their shells. I was sad to see chicken go. I would have ousted the wrestler girl, Ashley. This team is in trouble. They need to come together quick. They are gonna lose a few early, and that is devistating in this game.
The Buddhist temple was incredible. Phai-Gee, the Chinese girl, was so in awe. It was great to see that look on her face of being in her ancestors' land. I am so hating Leslie. I hope she goes very soon. The whole believer in Jesus Christ thing was weak. She won't mind worshiping the immunity idol. I also wish they would let these people bring some clothes. The whole clothes on your back thing sucks.
Let me say I LOVE Courtney!!! She is so New York. I was like that when I was young. We NYCers think we are so much better than everyone else. Of course I learned that was not true, but in my early 20s, I was the same way. Plus, she is the typical aspiring actress waitress. I had so many Courtneys as friends growing up. "I'm marooned in a land of flight attendants and Sunday school teachers!" That was great, and she's right, that would be my private hell.
I don't like Jean-Robert. All poker players think poker skills equates to understandign people, yet all teh good poker players I know are not well liked. I pick him to go early. While I like James, he has a HUGE target on his back.
Let me also say right away that my early pick for best player is Todd. That was genius to pick Aaron as leader. He is so smart. I think he is the most dangerous player already. Of course like Rob C will tell you, the best player does not always win. He got beat by Jenna, the worst player to be a Survivor winner in my book.
The Dragon race was cool to see. Frosti just stood no chance against James. He kept it close, even with the missed bridge, but once they hit the water, James just pressed through that water like it was air. I think it was a mistake to let chicken go. He was a hard worker and very strong for his age. I loved his scream at the end. All in all, another classic start to Survivor.
