bwwwaaaahhhhhhhh!!! The dreadful Kelsey Grammar and Patricia Heaton are slammed!
http://ca.tv.yahoo.com/blog/fall-preview-the-worst-new-shows--542

"Hank" (Premieres September 30 on ABC)
It's a Kelsey Grammer sitcom, which should be reason enough to hate it, but the premise (a Wall Street executive who gets canned and has to leave New York and cope with hillbillies in Virginia) mandates that most of the humor be rooted in Kelsey-Grammer-goes-slumming-and-is-disgusted jokes.

"The Middle" (Premieres September 30 on ABC)
It's like an updated but less funny "Malcolm in the Middle" starring Patricia Heaton and the janitor from "Scrubs" as parents of three unruly kids in the Midwest. Even if it weren't a inferior rehash, Patricia Heaton is pretty hard to like in any role.

3. I believe the article is saying
that Patricia Heaton's new comedy is SIMILAR TO 'Malcolm in the Middle' in some ways, not that Ms. Heaton was a star in that show.

7. I like "The Middle" and it is similar
My wife and I both agree that it is Malcolm in the Middle where everyone actually cares about each other and isn't just batshit crazy (don't get me wrong, I like Malcolm).

The Middle's funny in my opinion. Shoot me.

8. I agree.
That family has some funny issues going on.

Sue and Brick really are quite naturally funny and also get the best lines.

The other new sitcom I like is the "Modern Family" which is a hoot. Who doesn't like a new updated Al Bundy, eh?

5. It should be noted that that reviewer didn't like ANY of the shows in her fall preview.
Besides, Kelsey Grammer & P Heaton might have crappy politics, but they are talented comedians. I mean, Sean Connery and John Malkovich sound like crappy people personally, but I can still appreciate them as actors. Pete Rose was a zero as a human being, but he was pure joy to watch play.

6. Blech. I've never found either very funny, and that was long before I knew of their politics.
