9 people left, and there's only three episodes to go? WTF?

And what is up with the Red team going after Kelly? I so want him to win the whole thing, just so they have to deal with that. Crazy nominations this week, just crazy.

So far, all the challenges have been great, very inventive, but not too gimmicky. Next week looks like throwing knives and slingshots.

1. Kelly
Yeah, I can't figure out what is going on with Kelly. Either there is some behind-the-scenes stuff with him that we aren't seeing, or they've figured out what a threat he is. For someone who is basically a kid, he's walked away from every elimination challenge as the victor, which is saying something. The nominations this week (and to some extent last week) made absolutely no sense. Denny should've been nominated these last two weeks. Don't talk about how he's going to bring good stuff down the line--they're keeping a weak performer around so they can beat him later.

Can't say I'm sorry to see Brad go. He's a whiner.

The next couple of weeks should be good. I liked this week's trick shot challenge a lot, and it looks like we're moving to more physical challenges, as well as away from guns again in the coming weeks.

Colby seems to be relaxing. I don't see a lot of his personality coming through, to be honest, but he seems less uptight in his hosting duties.

2. Colby's doing fine, I think
I'd like to see a little more of a Tribal Council element added to the Nomination Range. He'll ask a question or two, but some added stuff would be interesting. And maybe we'd see why they're going after Kelly so harshly.

We've thought from the beginning this would come down to Kelly vs J.J. I just don't see how they're going to eliminate 8 people in three episodes, unless they have a couple of double elims and a two hour finale.

You may be right and they're trying to eliminate the threats and keep the weak. I wonder how nominations are going to work when they merge next week. Or they may drop the whole nomination/elimination challenge thing and have people eliminated from the main challenges.

3. Tribal
I agree, more questions before the nomination round is really needed. It would definitely help the viewer figure out what's going on with Kelly.

I have to admit that I'm curious about Tara, as the lone woman in the group. She has crazy eyes, sometimes, but her over-the-shoulder shooting was pretty good this week, and she nailed all her targets last week, too. I don't think she'll emerge as the surprise star, but I'm kind of glad she's lasted this long.

Kelly is a very fast learner, and uses that to make up for some of his lack of versatility. He is definitely one to watch. J.J. is also pretty strong.

4. Darn
Kelly got eliminated in the second round of competition last night. Such a pity--when he did the course in 1:30 I thought for sure he was definitely staying. I was really hoping he'd take the whole thing.

5. We were, too
The others benefited from his going first, as they saw the mistakes that could be made (loading two rounds, instead of one, etc.). Luck of the draw.

It's JJ's to lose, now, I think.

The totally cool challenge where they're shooting targets that flip back and forth I thought would be the final challenge between the F2, but it looks like an F4 challenge. I suppose the F2 challenge really needs to be more balanced between pistol and rifle shooting.

6. Surprised as heck that JJ wasn't the winner
he seemed the lock after Kelly was eliminated.

The final challenges were great. I particularly liked the F4 challenge, shooting the blue and red targets back and forth. That looked like it would be fun to do.

Iain was a deserving winner. From what I've read, they've about finished casting season 2 already.
