:D
I think Matt will align with Rob again. Note that, at the end of the episode, Steph is telling Matt about how he doesn't want to align with the shoemakers, and he agrees. He's still got a crush on Rob.
All Rob has to do is hold it together one or two more weeks. My prediction failed, as this is the first 16+ member season with no double boot by episode 6. Not sure when that'll happen. Probably next week. Sigh.
Don't forget that the shoemakers won the challenge right after booting Russell, so losing him didn't cause this slide. I think it's just the challenges aren't brute strength anymore.
Speaking of challenges, Grant was amazing. And so, so pretty. So, so pretty. Even with the white guy dreads.
I agree that Ashley and Natalie aren't doing much, but I also agree that Rob is playing that perfectly. He's obviously angling for a final three of Rob, one or both of the girls, and Phillip if necessary. That's how he wins. (Unspoiled speculation, naturally.) Grant is a huge threat in F3, so he'll have to go mid-late game, around 6th or 7th.
Stephanie waited too late to make a move. She should have been easing her way into the Six the minute Russhole was voted off. She and Krista should have voted for Sarita last TC, too. Terrible players, both of them.
David's not impressing me much, either. For the smartest player to ever play the game, he's managed to smart his way into an isolated position with no power. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go before Sarita, since that alliance is all about trust.
This season is shaping up to be very nice, especially compared to the dreck of last season.
Oh, and on the Jesus stuff, I think Matt may actually have an advantage on Redemption Island, in that he's not alone all the time. He's got his friend Jebus with him. And now he has a Bible. (I thought of Die Hard: "Now I have a gun, too." :D ) And he's a challenge machine. He'll have to go the first individual immunity he loses, if he makes it back in the game. Or the first TC back if it's not after the merge, either way. He's a huge threat.
I loved how jealous Andrea got. Not sure it was jealousy, though. It could just be what she said. She thought they had a special bond, but if he's bonding with random people like that, it wasn't that special. So back she goes to Rob...
It's Boston Rob's world, the rest of us just live in it, apparently. :hi:
