Any wine grape growers here?
I'm hoping to plant some grapevines on my south-facing, sloping property. Problem is, I live in Maine, so my choices of vines are limited. Would love to hear from anyone else who's successfully grown grapes in a cold climate.

3. I've been to Savage Oakes -- very nice vineyard!
Certainly one can grow wine grapes here -- we're just beginners, so we're trying to learn everything we can.

2. We live 3 miles south of Lake Erie, there are many vineyards around here
Our property had 4 vines on when we bought the place. That was 7 years ago, the grape is a Chablis grape. Makes great wine and jelly.
I couldn't tell you what type of grape exactly but the 4 vines produce very well. I am sure if I knew exactly how to keep it pruned it would do much better.

5. Yes
Good stressed land is all you need.
In Germany "Icewine" it is wonderful. If you never had it go out and buy a bottle.
