Pots and soil

Not sure if this is just a local phenomena or widespread :shrug:

Picked up "trash" along the wood-line at one of the local cemeteries..Ended up with almost 20 cubic feet of potting soil (the good stuff) and a pile of various sized pots over the span of maybe an hour!

The better half is getting a major addition to the rock/veggie garden.

1. That's a good way to recycle.

It is hard to find good priced pots.

2. Also check with local greenhouses

Most have piles of potting soil that they discard and will let you bag it.

The last glaciers that passed through didn't leave much other than hardscrabble....

If they gave it away, I wouldn't have been feeding the Maine State Bird (black-fly) yarding the stuff outa the woods.

We have 55 acres, and what ain't trees is granite. Be hard pressed to get a 10 yd load of loam off the entire parcel. I scrounge soil wherever possible. The load I took from the boneyard was the easiest yet.
