1. I've been a blond since 1999.
I was born one and when it began to darken, I helped it along until I started having kids. I have the right coloring for it and really love it! My children are all blond, too, with no help. And we're all really smart! :D

2. I stopped 6 months ago coloring my hair with Loreal
after a few years of using it my hair was drying out and breaking. Now it's summer time, I'm a natural ash blonde and with the mix of light gray and sun streaks that lighten my hair, it looks good and feels healthier. :-)

3. I don't bother anymore...
I like it silver (I prefer to think of it as "semi-platinum blonde", LOL! -- jk), and I don't have to worry about what the chemicals are doing to my body.

I will be 54 yrs. old next month. I'm going natural with this. It's going to be interesting to see how it turns out :-).

6. I used to but I quit three years ago.
When I turned 40, I started coloring my dark brown hair, which was turning gradually gray, red. It was a dark red, and was professionally done, and most people from then on thought I was a natural redhead. When I stopped coloring my hair three years ago, it was because the red was harder and harder to keep stable. As I got more gray, the color became too light.
And then I found my true colors. My hair is striking today, I think. It is still dark but has silver streaks all through it; I've had people ask me how I got it to be that color.
So I'm glad I went natural.
And I'm 56 this year, by the way.

7. I haven't got gray yet . . .
Well, I've gotten some 'stray greys' from time to time but I take liquid minerals which I truly believe has kept my hair from going gray. Premature gray is said to be inherited but there is the other explanation that it is simply a mineral deficiency, and if you're not supplementing with minerals, you're guaranteed to have a mineral deficiency with the quality of today's foods.

9. i do now
at 50. from about age 42-47, i decided to just "go natural", and i liked it, had some nice silver streaks in my naturally light auburn hair (blonde kid). this was after several years of doing my own blonde (BIG mistake - my hair suffered tremendously). i liked how healthy it became naturally. however, i decided to go highlighted blonde again (salon this time) for my oldest son's wedding, and have been doing it for about 2-3 years. it looks natural and it's very healthy. i'd still like to let it go again, but not just yet. when i retire in 4 years, i will let it go then.
