what do you wear? I'm not sure whether to go with a wetsuit under clothes or just get a dry suit. Any pro and cons besides cost?

lined pants with a rubber/neopreen outer shell. and a dry suit for the top. Make sure that you have a good spray skirt, hat, and gloves

Polypropylene, Fleece and my sons old snowboarding bib nylon pants. I do have a nylon skirt. This time of year it seems appropriate but in the colder weather/water I am leaning toward a wet suit....Farmer johns and top because of cost and usefulness. I can use the wet suit components during the warmer months for diving/kayaking where the dry suit would be overkill. Is it practical to wear the wet suit with outer garments over it? Obviously not planning a dunk but as a precaution.
