Just got two antique weapons. |

Kinda excited. A Fabrique Nationale M1900 (Browning No. 1) semi-automatic pistol in perfect condition with the original holster and even the pistol button close chamois case A Savage Model 1914 pump .22 rifle. Also in excellent condition. I would love to display them but will probably just pack away. Funny enough. These were my 84 year old mother in laws weapons.

1. I bet she was a fan of Annie Oakley. |

I have an "ought-three" Winchester .22 auto-loader, made in 1905. Because of the unusual ammo (case is shorter and fatter than a long rifle or short), the little carbine doesn't have a lot of re-sale value; ammo is only available through the Western Scrounger for around $14/box of 50. Yikes.

I read that this rifle would chamber .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably. Theoretically I shouldn't have a problem if I decide to actually use it.

4. Nice that it shoots current ammo |
|
I have a rifle that was my mother's. .32 Short Rimfire, rolling block single shot. Ammunition is hard-to-find, and expensive. So it's a wall-hanger.
The pistol sounds like a gem.

5. The Browning pistol is a great little gun |
|
Is it .32 ACP? Fun caliber to shoot, not much recoil, very accurate even in small pistols. It was the first cartridge Browning designed, and remained his favorite.
