PETA and fishing

I am sure PETA is against catch and release bass fishing but I just can't believe that PETA is this all powerful group that will ban fishing someday.
I think the righties hype up PETA's real power for their own agenda.

Everyone thinks they are good for laughs around here. Noone I know believes(or asserts) PETA has real power.

There are some groups, also w/o real power, who may have been considered dangerous. I have not heard of them being active recently. Mainly in western states.
