This year, I'm going to hunt with an old single shot shotgun.

I found a 1923 Iver Johnson Champion single shot 12 Ga. hammer shotgun, cleaned and tightened it up and added a recoil pad. It works just fine, and starting next week, I will be using it this season for everything I will hunt.

At this point, I don't care if I find any game or not - I will just enjoy taking that old gun for a walk in the now-beautiful fall weather...I will also take a small camera, try to figure how to post some pics here.

1. I stupidly passed on an Iver Johnson .20 ga. at a gun show...

It was a single-shot, with inscriptions of "Nitro" and "Iver Johnson Gun and Cycle Works." $100. Very tight and clean.
