The site posted above is a poster of Sarah Palin threatening liberals with what I in my ignorance can only assume is a small machine gun....ie, an automatic multiple round weapon.
Is she holding it properly? It occurred to me that she might be holding the actual revolving mechanism that slips individual bullets into the barrel. Which, of course, would make the whole poster kinda silly.
Of course, I am an idiot in these matters. Please let me know.

1. It's an AR-15 style rifle. Semi automatic rifle fed by a removable

magazine inserted from the bottom. She is holding it correctly if a bit too tight.

2. In this particular case

the AR-15 is part of a training simulator, thus the large wires coming out the bottom of the magazine well and the laser in the barrel.

If this was a real rifle, the box magazine would be inserted where the wires are coming out.

The round thing she is holding in her left hand is just the plastic guard that keeps your hands off the hot barrel.
