Taking my boat to Shasta Lake for Spring fishin'
Going to pull it out of the delta and get into some clean, clear water! And guess what? I can even safely eat the fish I catch!
Woo Hoo!

3. Centrally located in the "real northen California"
Lake Shasta is about 100 miles from Oregon. It is Culleeforneeya's largest lake with 365 miles of shore line. Spring trout & black bass fishing is the best because the water is high & cool. On Memorial Day weekend, fishermen reluctantly turn the lake over to houseboating tourists as the place begins to look like a LA freeway @ rush hour. When Labor Day is over, peace, quiet & sanity returns, the water begins to cool & the fishin' resumes.
That's my story & I'm stickin' to it!

5. I'm moving to Mt. Shasta in the spring
I do web development and can work anywhere I have phone and net connections, so why stay in the crowded Bay Area.

We've got a home up there that is presently under an intense amount of snow from the recent storms. Should be an interesting lifestyle change, having the Upper Sac and the McCloud within minutes drive from home.

Where are you?

6. Wilton, culleforneeya (south-east corner of Sacramento county)
Lived in & around Redding for decades.... Visited Shasta & McCloud last summer. Lot's of long-haired, artsy-crafty types replacing the rednecks as the last of the area's mills close down.

8. Oh, after posting this
I think I'll go out & smoke some Nor Cal green bud while drinking a beer & listening to rock & roll music in my boat (it's a cabin cruiser).
Heck, I'm 59 yrs old & a GD Vietnam combat veteran of the highest order (USMC).
Thanks for askin'!
