Ah Spring - the Willows have changed to a bright yellow-green
The brambles along the roadsides are showing a red glow.

Spring is returning to the northeast.

Our state capital, Albany, is beginning to have less snow on the roads - soon the winter coats will give-way to lightweight jackets and then to no coat at all, for Springtime is very short in up-state New York.

No "Glory-in-the-snow", "Crocus" or "Jonquils" but someone north of Albany spotted a Robin.

What are the signs of spring that you look for?

1. I live in Minnesota
we are starting to see buds on the trees and recently have had 50 degree weather. BUT this morning we had 10 below zero wind chill and we still have over three months left of possible snow season.

23. Back to freezing...
I hate cold weather. It has been since high school since I have complained about mowing or being too hot.

In high school, wintrer was great. School would be canceled and I would make money shoveling and hauling snow. Now there seems to be a private plow for every ten adults.

The winter with all of it's ~ dead batteries, frozen pipes, power outages due to ice on the lines and don't forget the dangers of Black-Ice, will be another memory SOON {I hope, I wish}.

Come on Robin {red-breasted harbinger of Spring} Now where is That Pesky Robin - I need a little bit {who am I kidding ~ I need a lot} of Springtime NOW !

Time for me to get out and cover the garden with blck plastic to get it warmed for the early planting season. I can at least delude myself into the joy of spring.

So ... do you want to take a guess when the Hummingbirds will show up in your backyard. I'm thinking they will be up there about two weeks after they are here.

B-)

I'm tired of looking at the snow, too. Although I will say " This winter wasn't a bad one."

22. I'll let you know when I see the first Hummer here.
There are so many hummingbirds that visit every year. It's probably because I have my feeders set up so they are not in a "direct sight line" with each other. I know that some of these birds have visited my feeders since birth.

27. Yuck ~ 3 to 5 more inches of snow tonight and more tomorrow
That cute lil chipmunk only came out for for a short time on 2/15 and back to sleep until it warms up again.

I do my own form of hibernation as much as life will allow it, but I do head out for fresh milk, ice cream and birdseed - just the necessities.
