Like Guns? I need your advice.

I'm thinking about getting a shotgun. While I'm not anti-gun I was raised to believe that you only pick up a gun when you about to kill someone. I still beleive that.

But... "Katrina changed everything" (registered trademark of BushCo) and now I'm thinking of getting a shotgun. Nothing special. Something inexpensive to keep in the closet to have on hand when society breaks down again. As it is wont to do under Smirky and his inept cronies.

I would highly recommend finding a local gun club. Many if not most offer various gun training classes and if you do not have a friendly gun aficionado to show you the ropes your local club should be able to help you out.

The NRA gets a bad rap here (and rightly so) but separate from their political activities are their training classes. They are worth a look, go here to find some in your area: http://www.nrahq.org/education/training/find.asp
